My daughter was in her first gymnastics competition today and received a long stem red rose for competing. She won 5 gold medals and we'd like to make a display case for her to keep all her competion momentos in and wondered how can we dry out and preserve the rose to put in the case

Reply:I have successfully dried out flowers in the microwave but as it is a long stemmed rose this may be difficult if you don't want to cut the stem.
Congratulations to your daughter on a tremendous medal haul. A wonderful reward for her hard work.
Reply:Dont water it. It will perserve its looks better if hung upside down.
