I need help with some white bugs on my rose bush?

I heard you could spray dish detergent, water %26amp; something else on your rose bushes to get these bugs off...can anyone clarify this?
I need help with some white bugs on my rose bush?
plant some nettles , thistles or similar plants near your roses

they attract Ladybirds,to lay their eggs.

The Ladybirds will eat the whitefly and greenfly.

Which means you need less chemicals in your garden.

the spray might work , till the next lot of eggs hatch.

But it will work for a while . i think?
Reply:One cup water, 2 or 3 tablespoons rubbing alcohol, and 2 or 3 drops of dish soap, put in a spray bottle and spray the roses with it.

To avoid getting black spots on the leaves spray them in late evening, just before or as the sun sets. That way the sunlight doesn't burn the leaves through the water like a magnifying glass on an ant.

You can also sprinkle corn meal at the base of the roses to discourage bugs and fungal infection.

Good luck
Reply:The little white bugs on your roses are called Aphids, i have heard that you can drape banana skins over the branches, and in a day or less, they are GONE! I tried it with my aunt's roses and ir worked very well, so i hope it works for you too!

Reply:Use dish soap, not detergent. They are probably thrips. You can also add some mouthwash to that mixture.Spray early in the morning so they can dry out before dark. If you don't ,they might get mildew.
Reply:i don't know i have never heard of that. i have heard of putting bug spray on it to keep the bugs away.
Reply:very little detergent.

also go to starbucks and get those grounds they throw out, put them around your roses, they will be awesome, and it somehow helps with the bug problem, water, them good
Reply:just a drop or two of dishsoap and water in a spray bottle you can spray directly on the rose bush
Reply:Diluted dish soap- ABSOLUTELY! My grandmother used that and I have been using it for years to eliminate those pests.
Reply:If you do spray it your plant will die. I suggest spray the ground to keep bugs away.
Reply:You read my mind before I opened your question. You don't need anything but the dish detergent and water. Just spray in the late evening!
Reply:mild detergent, watered down in a spray bottle may get rid of them

they are likely white flies
Reply:spray em
Reply:call a florist
