It flowered once when I first bought it--but it hasn't since.
How do I get a dessert rose to flower?
dessert rose plant needs full sunlight and a drained soil specifically the sandy loam type.it grows well in a dry cool areas with an average temp. of around 20 to 30 degrees Celsius.more or less.
Reply:I live in Texas where it is hot.

Mine stays out side until the temps stay in the low 40's.

Once "winter" is over, and it gets good sunlight, it blooms at least 4 or 5 times.

My soil is well drained, and in a shallow bonsai pot.

I fert with Miracle-Gro every 15 days during growing season.

Blooms are beautiful and last about 5 days.

DO NOT keep in the house or it will never do well.
Reply:Walk up to it...and ask it to flower for you!

It may sound crazy?

But, they hear positive vides...It was proven in the 70's...

Prince Charles has a wonderful garden...and he TALKS to his plants.

Oh! if it needs water...give it a drink, that helps....but just try what I say...o.k.
Reply:This plant species requires plenty of sunshine, ensure that. give more of phosphatic and potash fertilisers organic or inorganic you choose. in organic fertilisers bone meal and oilcakes will do.

reduce the watering frequency, this will increase the carbohydrates and lead to profuse flowering. if you wish i can send some photos to encourage u
