I am looking for a home remedy for aphids on my rose plants?

I have heard of soap water but I am not sure of the ratio of soap to water. Is it dish or laundry???

Go to the nursery and buy a bag of ladybugs. They eat aphids, supposedly.
Reply:1 Tablespoon of dish soap, 1 Tablespoon of red pepper, (Optional) to 1 gallon of water. Spray twice a week plus after each good rain.

The red pepper will keep them from coming back.

You can buy lady bugs and praying mantis, plus plant marigolds close to your roses. Close means at the border edge of your roses.
Reply:Nurseries sell lady bugs by the gross. They love the aphids.
Reply:My grandmother always used the dish soap also. I would go fairly strong as your trying to smother the aphids, and I don't think it will hurt the roses.
Reply:Lady bugs, they eat them.

You can buy them, even on line.
