How can I get rid of my rose pest?

It is a tiny black pinlike pest that eats the leaves of the roses. No matter what pesticide I spray on, it still appears the following morning. What kind of pest did I have and what pesticide should I use?
How can I get rid of my rose pest?
A chemical pesticide is the best option, but which one , some pests have built up resistance to certain chemicals by over use or as most likely people not using the correct rate of chemical

Take a good leaf sample with bugs on it to a good garden centre and they should be able to ID pest and suggest best options to kill pests

Consider NOT using a chemical pesticide.

Mix ONE DROP of dishwashing liquid to ONE GALLON of water. Spray on your rose bushes.

I sincerely hope this helps you and your roses.

Reply:Try a mixture of a quart of warm water and eight drops of dish detergent. It sounds like you have aphids on your roses. If this doesn't help then see about getting some lady bugs. They love eating aphids.
Reply:Please try this organic pesticide mix equal pts dawn dish soap to equal pts listerine . It will rid your plants of anything that is eating them and the plants love it . something about the listerine that the plants love. good luck .
Reply:One Drop? One drop won't do a thing. You'll need to get a 32 oz spray bottle and mix 1tsp of dish soap and 1tsp of light cooking oil like canola. Fill the bottle with water, shake well, and spray your plant making sure to get tops and bottoms of leaves, trunk, canes, and even the top layer of soil. This will usually kill any insect invading your plants. Spray once a week until they are gone. Oh, make sure you spray early in the morning to prevent sun burn. It this doesn't appeal to you then you can get some neem oil or insecticidal soap from your local garden center.

Good Luck
