How do I kill a rose bush?

I have cut it down below the ground and it keeps growing back. Is there something I can pour on it so it will not grow back?
How do I kill a rose bush?
Pull the roots out.

Diesel fuel works, but it will seep into your groundwater. The State EPA can track that and you will have to pay a HEFTY fine.

Clorox is actually a fertilizer.

Or let me take care of it, it will die before you know it.
Reply:NOOOOO, don't use diesel fuel, it also seeps into the groundwater.

Mix a strong solution of salt-water, that should do it.
Reply:You state that you have 'cut' it down below the ground....try digging it up. And to everyone who said to pour gasoline, kerosene or bleach on it...please dont. These toxins pour daily into our groundwater and we do not need any more introduced into our own water supply....thanks.
Reply:In order for it not to grow back you have to dig it up, roots and all. But don't just try and kill it, plenty of people would be willing to take it off of your hands. Spread the word and someone will come and dig it up for you if they can have it. Recycle!
Reply:why do you want to kill a rose bush? roses are so pretty, dig it up, I'll take it off your hands :)
Reply:Sounds like a wild rose. Try "Brush Be Gone".
Reply:2 pounds of salt and, trust me, nothing will ever grow there.
Reply:Pour a gallon of Diesel fuel on it at the base so that it seeps into the roots.
Reply:Going to have to dig it up
Reply:Use something really strong and that is sytemic. Try roundup, it kills everything.
Reply:Wait until the bush is sufficiently regrown. Mix glyphosate (RoundUp) with a small amount of liquid rose fertilizer and spray it on all the leaves. The fertilizer will trick the bush into accepting more of the glyphosate into itself. Repeat this procedure for a couple of days. If possible, spray it in the late evening, because the plant will be more active in the morning when there is fresh dew on the leaves.
Reply:The safest thing is a pound of rock salt. (ice cream salt). Pour it in a circle where the bush was.

That will kill the roots and not harm anything else.
Reply:How do you keep the thing alive I can't get weeds to grow...Ok try pulling it out of the ground.
Reply:I will dig it out if I was you. If you don't want that then cover the area with dark plastic sheet and cover the sheet with dirt a few inches deep and leave it for a while.
Reply:dig it up and send it to me.

Don't use deisel or gasoline OR salt. Nothing will ever grow there again.

Roundup, undiluted will kill just about any plant. Use a paint brush to paint it on the leaves.

Or send it to me!
Reply:pour 2 gallons of gasoline at the base
Reply:vinegar
Reply:y do u wanna cut a beautiful rose bush out neway

if u wanna do dat jus put some acid on it den wait 4 some time .

if u cant do dat jus pull the roots out...................it cant grow without the roots right

best of luck :) :)
Reply:root killer...bought at any store that carries lawn and garden supplies ( even Wally World)
Reply:I must assume that the rose is a "wild" sport; more like a bramble, than a rose; too bad really, because with proper pruning they can be turned into lovely specimens.

Anyway, have you tried digging out the root? Physical removal is much preferable to a chemical solution. However, any good "brush killer", should do the trick.
Reply:dig it up.

Try Clorox,

You could use an herbaside. They have them sepcific for shubs and other woody plants.
Reply:The gentleman above with the BRUSH B GONE is correct.
