How do you remove wild rose bushes?

They are taking over my backyard and when I pull them out, more grow back.
How do you remove wild rose bushes?
Boy do I know what you are talking about. We had those pesky things on our farm. One of the vines grew into my fathers garage where he kept all his tools and machinery for the farm including his blacksmith shop. These vines grew so big, they actually pushed the roof away from the building. He dug them up with a backhoe a small one, and pulled them out. The following year, they started growing again, so this time when he dug them up, he split the roots in various places and poured acid in the roots and reburied them, They finally died. You have to be very careful about it and make sure it is deep and not near a water supply since we had well water. They grew all over our farm but they were mostly in the forest part of our land. After that, whenever he saw a beginning of the roses starting to grow somewhere else, he pulled them out. they are virtually indestructible. and at the same time, they are very destructive. That was a long time ago so there must be a better way to get rid of them now. I did a similar thing when bamboo was growing in our yard. I dug to the roots and poured bleach in them in different spots. they are another pesky plant and seem to grow in any conditions.
Reply:Seriously have had a bit of luck , I just keep digging down each year and trying to get the whole root ! It took about three years - but they are gone ! Good luck
