How to get rid of little white bugs on my rose..?

I have a small rose bush it's probably about a foot tall.. I think it's a peace rose, but i'm really not sure.. But i keep getting little white bugs on the buds.. I've tried a pestecide specially made for roses, but it doesn't seem to be working.. Also.. there are a few bud on the plant, and one looked like it was going to bloom.. it's a pale pink, but it looks like it stopped growing, but the plant still looks pretty healthy... any suggestions? Thanks

Get some lady-bugs. They will eat those little bugs (I can't remember what they are called). You can get them at a lawn and garden center. Aphids, I think, is what they are are called.
Reply:liquid sevin dust will kill them and not harm the plant
Reply:Use rubbing alcohol in a sprayer for the bugs. If they keep coming back they are coming from another plant in the area, look around for the source and treat it too. Won't hurt the plant, kills the bugs and the biggest plus it's non toxic %26amp; cheaper than most chemicals.

Also fertilizer and magnesium sulfate (epsom salts)for better growth and bloom. I use water soluable fertilizer 3 Tbs(generic miracle gro) with 1 Tbs of epsom per gallon with good results. I let the water sit overnight to lose the chlorine. Feed weakly weekly is the rule. I also get some of it on the leaves, it is called foilage feeding and the epsom helps keep leaf disease to a minimum.

Good luck.
Reply:you can remove them buy spraying them with a mix in a spray bottle water 1/2 tsp dishwashing liquid, and a few drops od bleach. spray liberally and soon they will be gone. you can physically remove it by power spray too.
Reply:Try dishsoap and water in a spray bottle. It's harmless to your roses and gets rid of the bugs.
Reply:If they're white flies, paint sticks of wood (shingles are good) with a bright yellow paint, then when dry coat with cheap motor oil, and lace the pieces around them. The yellow will attract them and they will stick to the oil. Occsionally rinse them off and renew the oil.
Reply:If you are into insecticides, you can get systemic granules, which you put around the root zone and water in, it usually is for a broad array of problems. If you aren't into insecticides (I hate them), I have used diluted molasses to deter bugs. You spray it on the rose. Apparently bugs cannot digest molasses. It has worked for me in the past.
