How do I care for a mini rose bush indoors?

I live in Wisconsin so it would be to cold to plant outside.
How do I care for a mini rose bush indoors?
Keep it near sunlight and water every other day.
Reply:Yes, roses require the brightest light you can find to perform at their best. Water as needed (stick your finger in the soil up to an inch down and if it's dry, water it heavily until water runs out the bottom and rest in the tray/saucer you have the plant sitting on. After about 15-20 minutes drain away the excess water. That is the best way to water any plant. Starting in spring, around March or April, you can start fertilizing as well. Just get regular flowering plant fertilizer and follow the instructions. If you like, you could transplant the plant to a larger pot in spring and even set it out on your deck. Keep in mind, though, that roses have lots of outdoor enemies (bugs/diseases) so you may (if you put it outside) want to go to a garden center and ask about a small package of systemic pesticide. That you put on or just under the soil surface and the plant will take it up with the water it takes up and help protect it from the inside out from enemies. Hope this helps!
