Is it possible to do so by putting into water?
How can I get a branch with leaves from a rose bush to grow roots?
no the branch doesnt grow roots, you can grow roots from the stem ,you need to go to a place where they sell someting that grows roots,i forgot what its called, you dip the stem in it and place it in water.
Reply:take a semi-hard wood cutting, place it in soil (preferably in a pot, but not necessarily).Keep moist. Your cutting should strike - unless you have chosen one of those impossible new hybrids!
You could dip the cutting in honey to promote growth and kill bacteria if desired.
It is not likely roots will form if your cutting is kept in water, more likely it will rot.
Reply:cut a part of a shoot 8-10 inches long, place into ground, it depends on the type of rose, we have had success with thedavid austin graham thomas , anice yellow
