As long as it has sufficient soil, treat it just as you would any other rose - and that means it needs a dormant period in winter. Bring it up close to your home in the winter, and keep the soil from *freezing* (you might need to put a heating pad under it such as you'd use for a pet bed), but let it get cold and go dormant. Otherwise, treat it like any other rose (give it food for blooming plants, not foliage plants, btw), and it will live for a LONG time :-)
Reply:Question, is it one of those indoor mini-potted roses? If so I have no clue! I've tried and gone according to information found online. No luck!
Reply:What you purchased is a mini rose that is a true rose and will not survive inside. These are short term gift items sold as impulse items. It is a true hardy r ose and if you plant it outside in the full sun in good draining soil, you may be successful in bringing it back next year. I live in New England and had one outside for three years until it got mowed over!! Good luck with it.
Reply:I don't know you can ask your local garden center. or you can ask this question online at www.gardeningclub.com
Reply:I'm sorry to say that the tiny roses hardly ever live a long time. If you have it in the house, you need to put it in a south window where it can get sun.
Reply:change the soil every January or February. If possible, plant it in the ground. If you drink coffee, use the coffee grounds as fertilizer,
