i have notice evertime i trim my rose bushes , the stem i have trimed will rot belowe the cut , will wax help stop this
When triming rose bushes , will putting wax on the cut help keep out rot or any other kind of desease?
yes,,or a little spray paint (green?)
Reply:Yes it helps. You can also use regular Elmers Glue. Keeps moisture from penetrating the cut surface.
Reply:Are you sure you are pruning them right? I never had to worry about that with my roses. You should be cutting at a 45 degree angle.
Reply:im pretty sure it does because we got my mom a rose bush for her b-day and it had wax on it and we asked her why and she said it helps it not die so fast so i guess it keeps it from roting too
